Making a Difference
Spreading Holiday Joy and Giving out Toys!
With the holiday season being a challenging time for many, IES Virginia was determined to make this year’s celebration special for all. Read on to see how our efforts brought holiday joy to those who needed it most.
The 2024 holiday season brought our members back to what matters most—community. We channeled our seasonal cheer with a toy drive that would ensure that all children get to experience the magic that fills Christmas morning with wonder and excitement. From bikes to barbie dolls, each donation made a meaningful difference in the local communities we serve.
Supporting the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program is a cherished tradition at IES Virginia, where our internal toy drive competition inspires a generous outpouring of donations annually. The friendly competition between our offices and on-site teams resulted in hundreds of toys finding their way underneath the trees of the many households facing financial hardship.
Because the holiday season can be a really difficult time for some, our giving didn’t stop there! IES members filled an impressive 58 stockings with stuffers and treats in support of the Salvation Army’s Holiday Sock program, an initiative that provides Christmas stockings to thousands of children in the Hampton Roads area.
While our members enjoyed the fun of some friendly competition, collecting gifts and stuffing stockings, the real winners are the children in need whose Christmas mornings were packed with presents.
